7:1	Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
7:2	And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
7:3	And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
7:4	And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
7:5	For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
7:6	Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
7:7	Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
7:8	For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
7:9	When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
7:10	And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
7:11	And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
7:12	Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
7:13	And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
7:14	And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
7:15	And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
7:16	And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
7:17	And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.
7:18	And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.
7:19	And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
7:20	When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
7:21	And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
7:22	Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
7:23	And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
7:24	And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
7:25	But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
7:26	But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
7:27	This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
7:28	For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
7:29	And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
7:30	But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
7:31	And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
7:32	They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
7:33	For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
7:34	The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
7:35	But wisdom is justified of all her children.
7:36	And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
7:37	And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
7:38	And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
7:39	Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
7:40	And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
7:41	There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
7:42	And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
7:43	Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
7:44	And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
7:45	Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
7:46	My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
7:47	Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
7:48	And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
7:49	And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
7:50	And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

7:5	For he loueth, said they, our nation, and he hath built vs a Synagogue.
7:6	Then Iesus went with them: but when he was now not farre from the house, the Centurion sent friendes to him, saying vnto him, Lord, trouble not thy selfe: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter vnder my roofe:
7:7	Wherefore I thought not my selfe worthy to come vnto thee: but say the word, and my seruant shalbe whole:
7:8	For I likewise am a man set vnder authoritie, and haue vnder mee souldiers, and I say vnto one, Goe, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and hee commeth: and to my seruant, Doe this, and he doeth it.
7:9	When Iesus heard these things, he marueiled at him, and turned him, and said to the people, that followed him, I say vnto you, I haue not found so great faith, no not in Israel.
7:10	And when they that were sent, turned backe to the house, they founde the seruant that was sicke, whole.
7:11	And it came to passe the day after, that he went into a citie called Nain, and many of his disciples went with him, and a great multitude.
7:12	Nowe when hee came neere to the gate of the citie, behold, there was a dead man caried out, who was the onely begotten sonne of his mother, which was a widowe, and much people of the citie was with her.
7:13	And when the Lord sawe her, he had compassion on her, and said vnto her, Weepe not.
7:14	And he went and touched the coffin (and they that bare him, stoode still) and he said, Yong man, I say vnto thee, Arise.
7:15	And he that was dead, sate vp, and began to speake, and he deliuered him to his mother.
7:16	Then there came a feare on them all, and they glorified God, saying, A great Prophet is risen among vs, and God hath visited his people.
7:17	And this rumour of him went foorth throughout all Iudea, and throughout all the region round about.
7:18	And the disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these things.
7:19	So Iohn called vnto him two certaine men of his disciples, and sent them to Iesus, saying, Art thou hee that should come, or shall we waite for another?
7:20	And when the men were come vnto him, they said, Iohn Baptist hath sent vs vnto thee, saying, Art thou hee that should come, or shall we waite for another?
7:21	And at that time, he cured many of their sickenesses, and plagues, and of euill spirites, and vnto many blinde men he gaue sight freely.
7:22	And Iesus answered, and saide vnto them, Goe your wayes and shewe Iohn, what things ye haue seene and heard: that the blinde see, the halt goe, the lepers are cleansed, the deafe heare, the dead are raised, and the poore receiue the Gospel.
7:23	And blessed is hee, that shall not be offended in me.
7:24	And when the messengers of Iohn were departed, hee began to speake vnto the people, of Iohn, What went ye out into the wildernes to see? A reede shaken with the winde?

7:28	For I say vnto you, there is no greater Prophet then Iohn, among them that are begotten of women: neuerthelesse, hee that is the least in the kingdome of God, is greater then he.
7:29	Then all the people that heard, and the Publicanes iustified God, being baptized with the baptisme of Iohn.
7:30	But the Pharises and the expounders of the Law despised the counsell of God against themselues, and were not baptized of him.
7:31	And the Lord saide, Whereunto shall I liken the men of this generation? and what thing are they like vnto?
7:32	They are like vnto litle children sitting in the market place, and crying one to another, and saying, We haue piped vnto you, and ye haue not daunced: we haue mourned to you, and ye haue not wept.
7:33	For Iohn Baptist came, neither eating bread, nor drinking wine: and ye say, He hath the deuil.
7:34	The Sonne of man is come, and eateth and drinketh: and ye say, Beholde, a man which is a glutton, and a drinker of wine, a friend of Publicanes and sinners:
7:35	But wisdome is iustified of all her children.
7:36	And one of the Pharises desired him that hee would eate with him: and hee went into the Pharises house, and sate downe at table.
7:37	And beholde, a woman in the citie, which was a sinner, when she knewe that Iesus sate at table in the Pharises house, shee brought a boxe of oyntment.
7:38	And shee stoode at his feete behinde him weeping, and began to wash his feete with teares, and did wipe them with the heares of her head, and kissed his feete, and anoynted them with the oyntment.
7:39	Nowe when the Pharise which bade him, saw it, he spake within himselfe, saying, If this man were a Prophet, hee woulde surely haue knowen who, and what maner of woman this is which toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
7:40	And Iesus answered, and saide vnto him, Simon, I haue somewhat to say vnto thee. And he said, Master, say on.
7:41	There was a certaine lender which had two detters: the one ought fiue hundreth pence, and the other fiftie:
7:42	When they had nothing to pay, he forgaue them both: Which of them therefore, tell mee, will loue him most?
7:43	Simon answered, and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgaue most. And he said vnto him, Thou hast truely iudged.
7:44	Then he turned to the woman, and said vnto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entred into thine house, and thou gauest mee no water to my feete: but she hath washed my feete with teares, and wiped them with the heares of her head.
7:45	Thou gauest me no kisse: but she, since the time I came in, hath not ceased to kisse my feete.
7:46	Mine head with oyle thou didest not anoint: but she hath anoynted my feete with oyntment.
7:47	Wherefore I say vnto thee, many sinnes are forgiuen her: for she loued much. To whom a litle is forgiuen, he doeth loue a litle.
7:48	And he saide vnto her, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.
7:49	And they that sate at table with him, began to say within themselues, Who is this that euen forgiueth sinnes?
7:50	And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saued thee: goe in peace.

7:8	For I lyke wyse am a man vnder power and have vnder me soudiers and I saye vnto won goo: and he goeth. And to another come: and he cometh. And to my servaunt do this: and he doeth it.
7:9	When Iesus herde this he merveyled at him and turned him about and sayd to the people that folowed him: I saye vnto you I have not founde so greate faith noo not in Israel.
7:10	And they yt were sent turned backe home agayne and founde the servaunt that was sicke whoole.
7:11	And it fortuned after that that he went into a cite called Naim and many of his disciples went wt him and moche people.
7:12	When he came nye to the gate of the cite: beholde ther was a deed man caried out which was ye only sonne of his mother and she was a widowe and moche people of the cite was with her.
7:13	And when ye lorde sawe her he had compassion on her and sayde vnto her: wepe not.
7:14	And he went and touched the coffyn and they yt bare him stode still. And he sayde: Yonge man I saye vnto the aryse.
7:15	And ye deed sate vp and beganne to speake. And he delyvered him to his mother.

7:18	And ye disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these thinges.
7:19	And Iohn called vnto him .ii. of his disciples and sent the to Iesus sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we loke for another?

7:40	And Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Simon I have some what to saye vnto ye. And he sayd master saye on.
7:41	There was a certayne lender which had two detters ye one ought five hondred pence and the other fyfty.
7:42	When they had nothinge to paye he forgave the boothe. Which of them tell me will love him moost?
7:43	Simon answered and sayde: I suppose that he to whom he forgave moost. And he sayde vnto him: Thou hast truly iudged.
7:44	And he turned to the woman and sayde vnto Simon: Seist thou this woman? I entred into thy housse and thou gavest me noo water to my fete but she hath wesshed my fete with teares and wiped the with the heeres of her heed.
7:45	Thou gavest me no kysse: but she sence ye tyme I came in hath not ceased to kysse my fete
7:46	Myne heed wt oyle thou dydest not anoynte: but she hath annoynted my fete wt oyntmet.
7:47	Wherefore I saye vnto the: many synnes are forgeve her for she loved moche. To whom lesse is forgeven the same doeth lesse love.
7:48	And he sayde vnto her thy synnes are forgeven ye
7:49	And they yt sate at meate with him beganne to saye within them selves: Who is this which forgeveth synnes also?
7:50	And he sayde to ye woman: Thy faith hath saved the Goo in peace.
